January 15th, April 15th, July 15th and October 15th are Blog the Change for Animals days! Highlight those who help animals, give, blog, tweet, or do whatever you can think of to encourage others to care for our furry friends!
Here is one woman who has done that...sometimes all alone. She tirelessly cares for dozens and dozens of feral cats that come to her little farm home. She catches those she can to neuter them then releases them. She does everything possible to tame the little ones for adoption. She is a talented photographer and has a blog that 'tells it like it is' in the feral world. Some posts are cute, some are funny, some are sad. But she tells about their lives in hopes of bringing light to their need and love in the form of a home for them.
Chriss...thank you for your beautiful, real life blog and your unending efforts to change the lives of the kitties you so love.
Chriss posts on her blog regularly. This is the July 14th post. Please visit and encourage her efforts! She has a donation button to right. Those who work tirelessly loving others get tired sometimes! Send your kudos her way!
Two tabby feral cats, just relaxing and napping after breakfast. This is their most contented time.

Thank you for participating in Blog the Change Day and for sharing the post from the Feral Cat Rescue Project. Chriss is indeed a very special person for putting her time and money into caring for these homeless cats and wanting to give them a decent quality of life.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Vicki. She is truly a one of a kind wonder and I'm so glad to have met her!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I didn't even know about Blog the Change for Animals - I guess I don't get around enough. :)
ReplyDeleteI know there are other people out there, doing even more - and I admire and respect them. Those hard-working caretakers and feral cat trappers get mostly zero credit but they make a real difference in the lives of innocent animals.
One such trapper that I've never met but whose work I admire is: http://catwomanflix.blogspot.com/
Thank you to all.
You're so welcome and deserving, Chriss. I hope this brings a little help your way! And thanks for the link....I'm going to visit.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the story of the Feral Cat Rescue Project. I am going to follow her blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to know more about Chriss and what she does for feral cats. Such a beautiful soul. No doubt it's a rewarding and difficult job. I can't imagine the horrors those cats would face without her.
ReplyDeleteThanks for Blogging the Change!

Chriss does GOOD WORK. I'm very pleased that you brought her to the attention of Team Etsy for Animals... I only wish sales were better for us so that more donations would be forthcoming.
