Art for Pitties!

http://artforpitties.blogspot.com/ is a fund raising project created to help support Even Chance Pit Bull Rescue educate the public about the wonderful family friendly qualities of the Pit Bull. It is only recently that this loyal gentle breed has been targeted as a dangerous vicious animal that should be banned and/or exterminated. Their mission is focused:

Even Chance strives to rescue temperamentally sound pit bulls from San Diego shelters, animal hospitals, as well as dogs seized from organized dog fighting rings and humane cases. Even Chance promotes the importance of spay/neuter procedures for pit bulls and breed ambassador programs in the community.

The EBay auction will begin August 15th and run two weeks. I will be promoting this on Twitter from beyond_5.

  4. I was one of those who were afraid of pitbulls and said I would never have one. Well I don't but my roommate does! Kalel is adorable, fun and a big goof ball. He is a little over a year old. He has tons of fun playing with my springer, Copper. They wear each other out.

  7. What a great dedication to pit bulls. They are fanastic, loveable dogs! Jessica makes a great point in how to raise all dogs in general so they have great demeanors.

  8. Lovely post. Love your tote Patty. I wish I knew about this fundraiser, as I would have liked to participate. Maybe it is not too late.

The Pit Bulls I have known were sweeter than sweet. ANY dog/dog breed is capable of agression if treated poorly.
