The words 'Auld Lang Syne' literally translates from old Scottish dialect meaning 'Old Long Ago' and is about love and friendship in times past. The lyrics in the song Auld Lang Syne referring to 'We'll take a Cup of Kindness yet' relate to a drink shared by men and women to symbolize friendship. I thought it appropriate at year's end to extend the 'cup of kindness' thought to our little fur friends in shelters who would love to start the New Year in a warm loving home. All of these listings today donate all or almost all of the proceeds to animal rescue. If you are considering a pet this year, PLEASE make your local shelter your first stop! These animals are more than willing to give love and friendship to you throughout the year.
