I'm getting ready to head back to Ohio after spending almost four glorious months in Montana. I'm having moments of breakdowns as I think about driving AWAY from the mountains, the blue skies, the dry air, the milder winters and heading into damp, cloudy, sunless, snow-filled Northeast Ohio. I will go hiking in the mountains one more time before I leave Friday. Hopefully I will be back next spring.
Since I don't want to add much bulk to my inventory that I must take back, I have been painting and drawing. These are all available in my shops and can be accessed by clicking on the art. They are all affordable, original works, not prints.

"The Righteous Man and His Cat"

Your sketches are sooooo good! I love, love, love the 4th one above. And it's so true too! :-) I hope you have a good trip back to Ohio, and I hope it ends up being a better experience than you're envisioning. Say goodbye to the mountains for me too! :-]
ReplyDeleteI love the mountains. My husband said he wasn't taking me to Montana because he probably couldn't get me back. We did go on a mission trip 2yrs ago to the east side of Montana. No big mountains but nice. I'm truly content living here in my beautiful Tn mountains. Your drawings are awesome! Such a wonderful talent you have. Praying for your safe trip to Ohio.
ReplyDeleteI feel for you, Patty. Having lived on the IN/OH border myself as well as where i do now- up in the desert mountains of CA... well let's just say that i understand your preference to stay put because i'm very weather sensitive myself. I bet seeing your family will bring some comfort to you upon your return especially with all the holidays coming up.
ReplyDeleteAs always, very best wishes to you,
Nicole
Hi! We are new followers, love your sketches, some great quirky ones. Also love your knitted weiner dogs =)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind words and well wishes! I am focusing on my return to Montana in the spring and will surely stay busy with all my art and sewing!
ReplyDeleteThat is too bad you have to go back to Northeast Ohio. I was born in Cleveland, so I know all about the lovely weather up there. I sure won't move back there.
ReplyDeleteLove your drawings. They are just super.
Take care.
You are very talented! I've never been to Ohio nor Cleveland, but I'm sure what you say is true. I think I felt the same way when I left my parent's house in Wales this summer. There is something about being so close to the sea...
ReplyDeleteLove your sketches. See you on the 3rd and I will be sending you the brown velour.
