Happy Monday to all Kitty Lovers! Time for the weekly edition of Monday MEWsings! ANY cat mom whose kitty has THAT hair is fearless, don't you think?! She is  mom to the handsome Franklin (as seen in fiery photo) and the gorgeous Gus. The coolest thing about selling my creations is when a customer discovers their perfect piece of jewelry from the pieces I've made. The second coolest thing is knowing that there are people all over the US, and, since etsy, all over the world wearing something I made. In Sweden! In the U.K.! In Indiana!

The greatest thing about Etsy in particular is the community, both buyers and sellers, people from all over connecting with other people. I've gotten more help and support (and had more fun) here than I ever expected. And I have been so lucky to have such great buyers. I'm enjoying my experience here immensely."

Monday MEWsings - A Vintage Shop of CATS!

 Vintage shops abound on Etsy. You can't look at a Treasury, click on a page of Pounce, or glance at Recently Listed Items without seeing vintage. BUT...you don't often see a vintage shop dedicated almost entirely to one theme. This week, as part of the ongoing Cat Avis Unite Team features, I have found one such shop! I am passionate about animal rescue and the proper treatment of them. Check out my favorite non-profit rescue groups ~ Without them many lives would not be saved. They are my heroes! I donate my time and creations by myself and various Etsy artists to them both.

Creations from Clutter Week 6

Last night I was looking through my scrap drawer. It was about 12:15 am. I didn't want to go to bed without making one more thing. I came across one of my  all time favorite fabrics. I had found this vintage feedsack at an antique shop several years ago. I made a skirt with it that sold within days of listing it. I kept the scraps and when I saw them last night, I decided another kitty was in order. This one I named Mabel because it has that country vintage ring to it. She is just a little kitty; not itty bitty like some in my shop, and not a full sized pillow pal either. But she is definitely very sweet! Though I really didn't use up much clutter in the making of Mabel, I do feel good about giving life and purr-sonality to an otherwise lifeless scrap!

I so love the fact that these beautiful offerings are two fold - the owner receives a genuine hand crafted article and the sanctuary receives much needed supplies. And everything is extremely affordable!

Committing to De-Clutter! 

I had a lovely piece of white vintage textured cotton with little red flowers on it that I just loved. I kept saying I would use it for something special, but last night as I was on a spontaneous de-cluttering mission, I decided it was time. And I'm happy. I like my new kitties. Amazing how a piece of lifeless fabric can impart life to a project! 

I have decided to commit to de-cluttering. I hope to share something weekly from the scraps I did keep so I won't get over-burdened again in my 8" x 10" space that is also my bedroom!

This red fabric is also left over vintage. This kitty sachet is scented with a lovely lilac fragrance from rice that was combined with several drops of essential oil.
